Not Just Mother's Day Celebration

notice the Christmas wrapping paper :)  And the cheery "table cloth".  It's an unfinished quilt top I got at the antique mall with my mother's day gift from my wonderful in-laws!  It will be mostly used outside for picnics I think.

In my extended family we have a crazy amount of birthdays in the Spring.  Plus Mother's Day and Father's Day.  We often combine these celebrations into one or two since it would be a little hard to get together for each one.

This year we met at a park about half way in between where we live and where everyone else lives.  The forecast was not looking too good, but it ended up being almost perfect.  A tad warm if you weren't in the shade or were running around, but there was a nice breeze.

It was a great day! Small presents picked out and made by my children, all by themselves, meant more to me than they know.  They'll figure it out when they have children.  My poor mom has waited a long time for me to realize just how awesome she really is!

  1. I LOVE the picture of all the girls and moms! So beautiful!

I think the reason I've had issues commenting lately is because I tried through my new iPad. Clearly Glenn needs to adjust something for me so I don't need to be at the computer to leave a comment for you! :)

    Have a wonderful day!
