A Little Update on Kate

As most of you know, Kate was scheduled to have the polyps removed from her nose today.

We arrived at the hospital bright and early after partying all the previous day and night at Six Flags.  I didn't think I was going to be able to get any of us out of bed, but Kate and I got to the hospital even a  bit early.

She thought the gown with the opening in the back (and nothing on underneath) was quite hilarious.  She laughed and laughed and we had quite a good time while waiting, and waiting, and waiting.

Finally, they came and got her and she was such a trooper!  No tears of any sort.  None from Mom either. :)

The doctor said she did great and they removed the polyps from her nose and also some sort of callous type thing up in there.  Yes, he told me all the medical terms, but I didn't write it down.  He said everything was very inflamed up in there due to the allergies.  Anyway, she will be feeling kind of yucky for a few days, but as long as the bleeding stays with in normal, we don't have to go back for a couple of weeks.

I've mentioned before what a "wonderful" patient Kate is. Ahem. Right.  We would ask you to pray that she will cooperate with the nasal spray and medicines that she is suppose to take and that the bleeding/drainage would not increase.

Thank you for all who prayed for her surgery to go well and for me to not cry.  I didn't even have a lump in my throat or anything! :)

  1. So glad for you all that this is over! And good for you, Sharron, for following your motherly instincts and getting her into a specialist. We'll pray she heals quickly and is a model patient.

I'm sure playing "Doctor" will be much more interesting at your house. :-D
